As a user, I want to be able to manage all of my client’s work efficiently. Hooking up to existing applications, sharing documents seamlessly, and being confident in the tool I am using.

Objectives

Most matter management software is outdated, and that is no different at Thomson Reuters.

There has been little effort or time set aside to bring our matter management software up to date.

Create a new matter management software, solve for all existing problems with current solutions, and refresh the look and feel.

The first thing I did was made sure the organization of this new tool would be beneficial based on feedback we have gotten from users while working on existing matter management software.
Early concepts
We went through many iterations trying to find the style that we were looking for. Thomson was working on a new design system that we were also helping create with this project.
Final designs
Once my work with the design system matured I had landed on the new look and feel, while solving the existing user problems. The new style has all the tools front and center that our users look for, takes the tools they use less often in the background to declutter, and makes managing their matters a breeze.
